Ashanti Douglas, popularly referred to as Ashanti and born in Glen Cove New York United States on 13 October 1980. She is a singer songwriter and actor from the United States. Ashanti was discovered as an teen and became signed to Murder Inc. Records in 2002. The same year, she was featured in fat Joe's What's Luv? song and Ja Rule's Always on Time track. Both have become huge hit songs. Her songs Foolish (number number one) as well as What's Luv! She was the first female artist to hold both the top two spots in the American Billboard Hot 100 and with the number one spot held by Foolish. one, and then What's Love? Ashanti initially appeared on the Big Pun song How We Roll as a backing singer. She also appeared in Fat Joe's "What's Luv?" as well as Ja Rule's Always on Time. Her first single Foolish features a sample of The song of DeBarge from 1983 called Stay With Me. Ashanti's first self-titled album, released on the album of Irv's Murder Inc. in 2002 was Ashanti. The singer played Latasha on Army Wives and starred in the movie Christmas in the City. Aitch is a British rapper sampled her song Rock wit U for Baby on March 10, 2022.
